Rescue work is never easy and the stress at this time of year with the continual phone calls and messages about owners wanting to surrender dogs or strays that have been picked up make it very difficult for anyone to cope.

A week ago Max was stuck in one of our runs screaming his head off and wanting some human company. It got so bad that Joanne had to go out at 11pm to bring him in after he nearly hung himself trying to climb the fence.

Luckily we get updates like this one from Max’s new owners that make it all worth while.
It brought tears of happiness this morning to see him so relaxed and settled after such a short period of time. A great Christmas present for us all at Husky Rescue.

Now we just need to find homes for all the other urgent cases then we can relax.
