Husky Rescue SA can issue a certificate as intended under section 18A of the Income Tax Act No. 58 of 1962. This means that individuals, trusts, companies or close corporations can deduct donations from their taxable income. The requirement is that the donation must be paid or transferred during the year of assessment in order to qualify for the tax deduction, so before next week Thursday.
Please do consider making a donation which will enable us to carry on rescuing huskies and husky crosses in need in South Africa. Husky Rescue SA is a non-profit, all-volunteer rescue and adoption organization that has developed a rescue program to accommodate unwanted, abandoned and very often abused dogs. We work across South Africa and have a Haven situated in Lanseria, Johannesburg. It has become evident that people are ill-informed and ignorant to the very specific needs of the breed. To compound the issue of ignorance, back-yard breeding has increased the number of husky puppies available to the public and husky owners are purchasing pets with bad bloodlines and genetic defects.
