On 20 November 2016, Husky Rescue South Africa partnered up with Barking Army for their annual 94.7 Cycle Challenge to ride for a cause.
Once again this year each cyclist raised funds to support Husky Rescue SA and represented their brand of clothing to help raise much needed awareness for the rescue organization.
The day was incredibly well supported and some personal goals were met.

Our target for Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge was sub 3hrs, talk about cutting it fine, made it by 8 seconds. All thanks to my son and cycling partner Gareth Jones, would never have made it without his help.
Supporting our Barking Army PETS riders at the hospitality tent. May you have a safe ride and thanks for supporting the animals
Husky Rescue supporter station run as usual by Philip Jones. Changed and patched countless tubes, repaired chains and various other repairs.
A few hundred Rand in donations from grateful cyclists for our huskies.
947 Cycle challenge done and dusted….for Husky Rescue. We thought it was going to be a cold, rainy day…it wasn’t…hot as usual. Was a lovely day out on the bike. Enjoyed the bit around Kyalami. And very inspiring seeing the people with disabilities tackling the 947. Thx to the supporters along the route and thx Barking Army for the much needed drinks and snacks.
