We would like to thank Eukanuba South Africa for this fantastic donation of much needed food. Wallace, seen here with Dan can’t wait to get stuck into it.
Super gorgeous Dante and Zara at Cape Town International Airport just before boarding a plane on their way to JHB and their fantastic new home. Big thanks, as always, to Lara Viljoen and Tyler Tanner for dropping them off and to Billy Scheepers for collecting the crates.
Received a lovely update this evening from Ann who adopted Kratos 3 months ago. When he first went home he was petrified of coming down the stairs but with some patience and confidence building he has finally mastered them.
Nanuk has gone to his new home and just loves his new mommy and daddy. Thanks so much for giving him a home and by the looks of it he is fitting in very well.
When Gareth and myself decided to run the Comrades marathon after successfully completing the 947 Cycle Challenge last year in under 3 hours we had no idea what lay ahead. Injuries, sickness and general disruption in training was making the self doubt creep in.

Whiskey checking in with all her supporters before her operation and as you can see she has lots to say. Thanks to everyone who has donated towards her eye operation on the 21st June. Whiskey is very excited to regain her full sight again.
Paddington having a blast in London – follow his story as it originates here at Husky Rescue where he was at the Haven for some time before being adopted by Darren.
Life for anyone involved in animal rescue is very tough at the moment but occasionally we get to share the good moments, and that is when we realise we have to keep doing what we do for the sake of all the others waiting to be rescued.
Over the past 3 years Gareth Jones and myself have raised quite a few thousand Rand’s for Husky Rescue riding the 947 Cycle Challenge for the Barking Army. This year we decided to be stupid and do something different. 🙂 On 4 June we will be taking on the challenge of the Comrades marathon, nearly 90km of running from Durban…
Now a little feel good story of one of our rescues then called Santa and now called Paddington. Paddington has became somewhat of a jet setter with his dad Darren (3 continents already under his belt). Please go and like the Paddington Husky pages and vlogs and follow all his antics.
Maya went to her forever home yesterday to a family who has already adopted from HRSA before. Maya slotted in perfectly with the high energy Snowball who needed a playmate as Max, the Italian Greyhound, was battling to keep up.
There is nothing better on a cold blistering weekend than hot pizza! The rescues at Husky Haven received first class service and personal delivery on Saturday. Big thanks to Joanne from Col’Cacchio Pizzeria for the spoils, the huskies definitely gave their howl of approval
