Very outgoing, friendly and awesome with kids and large breed dogs  …

Female, Siberian Husky, with a Grey & White fur coat and Bi-eyes

SINEAD is a newcomer at Husky Haven and this message received from her owner is what we deal with on a daily basis:

‘Good morning
I got reffered to you by a friend ,he said that you rescue huskys ?
I want to know what time i can bring my huskey ? I fininh work at 4 and i stay close ,
The storie is we moved to a plot recently and my sister got a huskey for christmas lastyear and she didnt really train her and spent that much time with her and she got agressive towards the jackrussles at the house so my parents said either they put her down or i should keep her on the plot so i took her , but my schedule doesn’t allowe me to train her and give her the exercise she needs ,she is a lovely dog and so loveable ,i cant keep her anymore she keeps on escaping and going to the field and she has brought so many ticks home to the other dogs and she ate two of our geese so we really can’tkeep her and she would be a great dog for someone who has the time for her.’

People just do not research the breed and we get the call when they act out doing what comes naturally to a husky.

SINEAD is only 12 months old and actually very outgoing and friendly. Awesome with kids and large breed dogs, male and female.

Situated in Gauteng but can be relocated anywhere in SA if HRSA home check criteria are met.

Rushka

A life companion that proves love is truly unconditional …

Female, Siberian Husky, Grey & White fur coat with Blue eyes

At about four years of age, this tortured soul comes from a heart breaking background, found in an area rife with crime and riddled with people hell bent on their poor life decisions, with no will to improve themselves.

The call came in, a call no person wants to hear. This angel was hurt and used in the most awful and invasive of ways, unable to defend herself. Her calm and loving nature has prevailed however, and she has blossomed into a beautiful and loving girl, the capacity to forgive and love has never shone through more clearly than in this earth-bound angel. A heart of gold and a shattered soul, one she has carefully and methodically put back together with the love and compassion of those that rescued her, a life companion that proves love is truly unconditional.

To give this angel a home would make a world of difference in her otherwise bleak and tragic life, to be able to express the love and gratitude her scarred heart so desperately exudes, would be all she would need to find a happiness beyond comprehension.

A loving companion that will accept and appreciate the calm and wisdom of an older dog, an old soul that craves a stress free life and someone to love, all that she asks is for a chance.

An old soul who needs the perfect retirement home and a comfortable bed to sleep on …

Female, Siberian Husky, Black & White fur coat with Brown eyes

This old girl has gone through quite a heartbreak, she was found at around six years old, her previous home kept her for many years, giving her up when she was twelve.

A gentle girl with a calm personality, she will gently take any food offered, truly showing her appreciation of your time and love, perfect for cuddles and a day on the couch, a constant companion to keep you warm at night.

This girl brings with her a sense of peace and indescribable calm, she does not demand long walks and would much prefer a drawn out cuddle on the bed, give her your heart, and she will give you hers.

A gorgeous girl with a personality all her own …

Female, Siberian Husky, Black & White fur coat with Bi-eyes

Extremely friendly and ready to love, her loving nature and caring eyes are sure to melt the hearts of all she meets, her curious and excitable nature will definitely brighten up your life.

She will need an environment with a larger dog as she tends to dislike the snaller breeds, as well as a high energy and dedicated owner to stimulate and tire her out.

You have the opportunity to give her the love and devotion she needs, and in return, she will focus all her attention upon you and lavish you with her unconditional love.

Codi

Highly intelligent with fantastic recall, he is excellent with people and dogs!

Male, Siberian Husky, Dark Grey & white fur coat with Brown eyes

This beautiful German shepherd cross has had a rough start to his life, used as a security dog for the first few months of his life, he was betrayed and given up on, eventually finding his way to Husky Rescue, he has been here for three years now and is desperately looking for a family willing to give him the love he was denied.

At around 4 years old, he has spent most of his life in a kennel. His previous owners missing out on a supremely intelligent and loyal life-long friend, a lover with a heart off gold, he seems to think himself something of a casanova, and only truly accepts the company of the ladies, but will love and protect any child presented, although a calm and controlled environment is what he prefers best.

He is a highly intelligent boy, and thus, highly trainable. His recall is excellent and you will find him trotting straight back to you with a simple command, his unconditional and everlasting love are editions to your family you simply cannot ignore, and the gift of his love is something impossible to look past. So open your heart and allow this angel the chance to change your life.

Nuka

A young gun with the heart of a lion, his large paws and mane like coat promise a fierce and loyal life companion!

Male, Siberian Husky, Black & Copper & White fur coat and Blue eyes

Don’t let his looks fool you though, he relishes in attention and love, and will light up your life with his high energy and positive outlook on life.

Found on the side of the road with obvious signs of neglect, and also the perfect example of why you never shave a husky, as he suffers from sever sunburn caused as a direct result of his shaven coat, but with some tender loving care, he will surely grow into the suave and good looking guy he is supposed to be.

This boy will surely light up your home brighter than any lights you put uo this merry season, so open your arms and allow this boy to bestow his love upon you.

Situated at Husky Haven in Gauteng but can be relocated anywhere in SA if HRSA home check criteria are met.

To adopt NUKA please email us on info@huskyrescue.org.za

This is the combined effect of shaving and neglect, leaving him out in the sun to get burnt until he is raw.  He is safe now, we can heal his burns but we have to hope that glorious red coat comes back.

Look what a difference it made having a soothing bath …

… he is so much more relaxed and playful. If you are interested in adopting Nuka then get in quickly because he is going to very quickly turn from ugly duckling into a glorious red husky swan.
