Adopt Baloo - Husky Rescue South Africa

Super good looking Male Husky Cross

This super good looking male husky cross is only 5 months old. His only crime is being to active, busy and destructive…well yes that is an accurate assessment of young pups. Young huskies need lots of exercise, mental enrichment plus loads of interaction with their human people.
BALOO needs an active family and another young female doggie companion to play with.

Hollywood Walk Fame - Husky Rescue

If it wasn’t for our faithful supporters we wouldn’t exist

Thank you so much to every single person who attended The Hollywood Walk of Fame at Rivonia Barnyard on Friday evening. A heartfelt thank you to our own Nikki Vd Westhuizen Pretorius and Dominique Talhami Strydom for the time and effort they put into organising another successful event. WHAT A TURN OUT . And best of all we managed to raise R20 865.00 which is desperately needed for Husky Rescue to continue making a difference in the lives of these abandoned and abused dogs.

The biggest surprise of the evening came from the steadfast FNB Volunteers who just blew us away with their generosity of their donation of R20 000.00 which will cover Vanilla’s cruciate operation. Vanilla will be flying from Cape Town to JHB in the next few days to have her operation. Thank you FNB team – you guys absolutely ROCK.

Does your Husky have a favorite toy?

Blue is somewhat obsessed with his squeaky chicken whilst Summer appears to be bored 😁
Blue and Huntress (now Summer) were adopted from HRSA last year.

Sponsor a Steri

We are assisting Husky Rescue KZN to sterilize 10 Huskies in their care. The cost of one sterilsation is R550.00 excluding vaccinations and other medical expenses.
If you would like to sponsor a steri and for info please contact me on
The only way we are going to win the war against unwanted surrendered dogs is to sterilize every single dog that crosses our path.

We can issue section 18A certificates for any donations.

BAKARI was not interested in being groomed (And his hair is growing like weeds after recovering from sarcoptic mange), instead he figured out a way to open the cooler box where the treats are kept.  Johan and Lara are regular volunteers at Wideskies in Cape Town and we are very grateful to have them part of the HRSA team.

We need volunteers to assist with the rescues in Cape Town (they need grooming, exercise, and lots of human TLC).

If you can assist please contact us on
